Manain launches the ‘PROTECT ME’ sticker to safeguard the use of machinery during the state of emergency

The importance of water use during the state of drought emergency 

In these times of drought emergency in Catalonia, it is crucial that we all take proactive measures to preserve one of the most vital resources: water. Due to the drought, the Phase 1 Emergency Plan has been implemented, especially affecting the Barcelona area. The Generalitat has issued various measures and highlighted the most affected areas to address this situation, and it is our duty to contribute in every way possible. 

The Generalitat’s restrictions include a 25% reduction in water consumption in industry as well as a ban on cleaning vehicles with potable water. At Manain, we are committed to responsible water use and have implemented significant changes in our daily practices to reduce consumption.  

One of the key areas we are focusing our efforts on is cleaning our lifting and construction machinery. We carry out a basic dry cleaning when necessary while ensuring the safety of the machinery.

We understand that these new measures might imply an additional cost and slightly more time in our operations, but we firmly believe that it is necessary for the general welfare and a sustainable future. We finished 2023 and recap. As usual, we like to take stock and want to share some of the most notable figures in the rental and sale of lifting and construction machinery this year. Therefore, we have prepared a ranking of machines with the TOP 3 most sold and rented platforms by our customers, those models that have been rented the most and have been seen less in our Amposta, La Canonja, and Esparraguera facilities. And another TOP 3 compiling the most sold lift platform model throughout the year.

The most demanded platforms of 2023 have been:


1. 8-meter electric scissor lift. The height of an 8-meter electric scissor lift stands out for interior or exterior work on smooth surfaces. Its weight is also ideal for different surfaces. We have models like GS2032, Optimum 8, 2032ES, AS0607W, among others. And its dimensions, with some reaching up to 3 meters of extended length. It is in high demand in sectors like industry, electrical installations, and for maintenance tasks.


2. 16-meter diesel articulated arm. We have various models in this height range, such as the A14J, HA16RTJ, 450AJ, 160ATJ, among others. These are known for their articulation that reaches up to 7 meters of horizontal reach. They are models that quickly reach the necessary height for standard tasks. In addition, some of the 16-meter models feature the SAFE MAN SYSTEM for dangerous situations and operator entrapment prevention. This scissor lift is ideal for interior or exterior work on smooth surfaces. It is in high demand in sectors like industry, electrical installations, and for maintenance tasks.


3. 12-meter Manitou diesel articulated arm. The Manitou Mango12 model offers suitable mobility in versatile and common locations, as well as uneven terrains. It allows you to work at great heights in any situation. In addition, the SAFE MAN SYSTEM provides extra safety for the operator in case of entrapment.

El tamany d’aquesta la U10 permet treballar en petits terrenys, la qual cosa la fa ideal fins i tot per treballar en interiors i espais reduïts, com passar per portes o treballar en poques dimensions.

Els usos i aplicacions més comuns per a aquest model serien tasques amb petites rases, llocs estrets, i fins i tot la rehabilitació interior d’edificis. Aquesta miniexcavadora posseeix un motor de injecció directa i sistema hidràulic amb dues bombes de control de càrrega. New Haulotte Compact 12AE available for rental and sale!

We’re new! We now have the new Haulotte Compact 12AE available for rent and sale in our fleet. This electric platform offers a revamped version of its previous model, providing you with greater safety and ergonomics during your tasks. With a working height of up to 12 meters, it is particularly suited for indoor work, although it can also be used outdoors. A key feature is the switch from hydraulic motors to electric, which delivers greater efficiency.

 

Features of the Haulotte Compact 12AE

The new design of the chassis is more robust than the units it replaces, with all components fully integrated and protected against damage from impact with obstacles during operation.

For example, the steering cylinder and sensors are located behind the solid cross plate of the front chassis frame, while the rear ladder and battery charging connections are fully integrated into the counterweight, which also serves as a high-resistance bumper. To simplify transport loading, lateral and longitudinal anchors are provided for forklifts.

The new, heavier guardrails fold to facilitate access beneath obstacles. The onboard diagnostic tool Haulotte Activ’Screen is also available through the Haulotte Diag mobile app, which offers advanced diagnostics with detailed troubleshooting procedures.
